It's a Friday free-for-all
Hopeful because I am getting my hair done by one of my BFF's today (I know BFF is so High School) but she is great and I have a Girls Night Out tonight, like I have said before there is nothing better than sitting around drinking rita's and girl talk especially since I have been around nothing but screaming boys all week and that includes my husband.
Quote of the Day:
"As I grow to understand life less and less, I learn to love it more and more."
—Jules Renard
Song of the Day:How about some Coldplay, always love me some Coldplay
Strawberry Swing - Coldplay
Strawberry Swing is one of my Favorites.
I really have nothing to talk about today but I will ask one or two other questions.
What are your plans for the weekend?
and
When you watch the New Moon trailer does it give you chills every time?
I know you have all probably saw it a million times but once more won't hurt. I can't wait until November to see it. I already looks so much better that Twilight, oh what a little money can do.
See you all next week chicos and chicas

Recipe Tuesday...Paula's Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake
Mood of the day: Tired
Song of the day: Come On Get Higher, By Matt Nathanson
This is a great recipes to take to cookouts, you can cut the cake into squares for individual servings and no frosting needed
Double Chocolate Gooey Butter Cake
Ingredients
- Butter, for greasing pan, plus 16 tablespoons (2 sticks) butter, melted
- 1 (18.25 ounce) package chocolate cake mix
- 1 egg, plus 2 eggs
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 3 to 4 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly grease a 13 by 9-inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, 1 egg, and 8 tablespoons (1 stick) melted butter, and stir until well blended. Pat mixture into prepared pan and set aside. In a stand mixer, or with a hand mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the remaining 2 eggs, and the cocoa powder. Lower the speed of the mixer, and add the powdered sugar. Continue beating until ingredients are well mixed. Slowly add the remaining 8 tablespoons (1 stick) of melted butter, and the vanilla, continuing to beat the mixture until smooth. Stir in nuts with a rubber spatula. Spread filling over cake mixture in pan.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Be careful not to overcook the cake; the center should still be a little gooey when finished baking. Let cake partially cool on a wire rack before cutting into pieces.

Poetic Mondays
Song of the Day: Anberlin "The Unwinding Cable Car"
Today's Poem is a Sonnet from Edna St. Vincent Millay
On Hearing a Symphony of Beethoven
Sweet sound, oh, beautiful music, do not cease!
Reject me not into the world again.
With you alone is excellence and peace,
Mankind made plausible, his purpose plain.
Enchanted in your air benign ans shrewd,
With limbs a-sprawl and emplty faces pale,
The spiteful and the stingy and the rude
Sleep like the scullions in the fairy-tale.
This moment is the best the world can give:
The tranquil blossom on the tortured stem.
Reject me not, sweet sounds!oh, let me live,
Till Doom espy my towers and scatter them.
A city spell-bound under the aging sun,
Music my rampart, and my only one.
What kind of music inspires you?

Oh, Saturdays...
Song of the Day: "Spinning" by Jack's Mannequin, saw them in concert a few weeks ago and they were great, Love them. Anyway I feel like I am going around in circles today.
Ok this morning I woke up with determination to get things done. I took all of my vitamins and minerals so I can have some energy. I waited for them to kick in and got to work on cleaning the house. I am now taking a break since I have been working since 10:30, I still have so much to do. Why do I wait until it all piles up on me and I get overwhelmed, I have no fricken fracken clue (trying to keep it clean again).
I am also setting up a schedule for the boys and I this summer. It goes something like this:
8:00 wake up and breakfast
8:30-10:30 Chores
10:30-11:30 summer school work, mainly for Z's benefit to catch him up
11:30-12:30 Lunch
1:00-4:00 Playtime, pool other activities
I think it will work,I mean I know there will be days when it is impossible to follow but hey it is worth a try, right.
Well I need to get back to work, I am trying to update more, hope you like it.
Shannon
This next week I will try to get back on my daily posts, so hopefully tomorrow you will have a meal plan for the week, whether or not I follow it.

Shoot me, just shoot me now...
On the brightside I am starting to write more. I have started 2 short stories and a few poems, not that I would share them right now, I am very OCD about my writing, it has to be almost perfected before anyone reads it therefore it will probably never get read, (sorry Kim).
Ok my song o' the day is "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers, that is me trying to look on the "Brightside" of things. Talk later Chicas
Oh, Happy Birthday, Regina, Love ya and Miss ya
