My First day of School
Well let's just say it was a fact filled day and much information thrown at you all at once. My English Composition class seems a little overwhelming at first but I think it will be fine once I get started. I took English 1301 over 9 years ago, so it has been a while since I wrote a composition or much less a correct research paper that has all the correct elements in it. My math class doesn't seem to bad so I am not really worried about it and I think I am really going to like my Psych teacher much better than last semesters, at least I think she is will to listen to opinions rather than dismissing them like my previous professor. Hopefully it will be a great semester. I really need to pull my grades up, focus more, be dedicated and motivated because I need to finish school in three years.

The First Day of School
Today was the first day of school and my Z's first day of Kinder. I can't believe he is that old already, but it is nice and peaceful around the house today. Z went right into his classroom and put his stuff in his locker and sat down next to a girl he knew. The little girl is a twin and she was not in the same class as her sister, so she wasn't too sure she wanted to be there. Z on the other had no qualms about being there. I walked J to his classroom but he didn't want me to come in because he is getting older and he could do it on his own.

Hopefully they will both have good days.

I need to schedule a "Girls Night Out " soon
Nights in Rodanthe has been made into a movie starring Richard Gere, no less, and of course the very talented Diane Lane, which I love.
If you haven't read this book by Nicholas Sparks I definitely recommend it. I love all of Nicholas Sparks book and when they are made into movies they are usually really good, The Notebook is one of my favorite movies, the book is much better that then movie and the sequel The Wedding is wonderful too.
There are several good "girls night out" movies coming out in the near future that I would like to see and that my husband would not be caught dead in. The Women is one of them full of great stars like Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Jada Smith and Annette Bening.
I Guess I will just have to get the girls together and go to the movies for me and for goodness sake's not see another animated movie any time soon.

Realizations
Ok can anybody really tell me where the summer has gone. I can not believe that school will start in 1 week, really next Monday morning both of my boys will be in School full time. Z had Kinder Camp on Saturday and that is really when it hit me that my little boy will be in school Monday - Friday. Besides my classes on Tuesday and Thursday what else am I going to do, I mean there is only so much cleaning I can do and school work really can't take up the rest of the time, can it, boy I hope not, if it does I am in real trouble. I guess I am in need of some more women friends, ones who lunch, doesn't that sound like a "Real Housewife of OC". Are there really ladies out there who still "lunch"? I can remember being a little girl and playing house with some friends and always saying "we'll do lunch", hey any of you ladies out there want to do "lunch" with me because apparently I need ladies to lunch with. This is too funny, I googled Ladies who Lunch and this is Wikipedia's definition "Ladies who lunch is a phrase to describe slim, well-off, old-money, well-dressed women who meet for lunch socially, normally during the working week. Typically, the women involved are married and non-working. Normally the lunch is in a restaurant, perhaps in a department store during shopping. Sometimes there is the pretext of raising money for charity. In India they are popularly called Kitty Parties where a group of women meet for lunch and pool in large amounts of money to raffle off to one lucky lady every time. Ok so those of you who know me know that I am not thin, old money and really do not dress well, I am more of a burger and beer type of gal, but I can't really do that in the middle of the day because I wouldn't make it through the rest of the it. Ok so I am not a Lady who lunches, I do have a running list in my head, however, of things that I would like to get done when the kids are not around. Things like repainting Z's bedroom also the kids bathroom, organizing closets and learning how to sew. I really hope to put a good effort into school this semester and it will possibly take up most of my time and if I really realize that I have more time on my hands than I know what to do with then it just means I need to take one more class, right. At least that will make me finish sooner. So for now no lunches for me, ok maybe one a month, I think I can handle that, right?

Do you have kids that are crazy....
about Star Wars. Z my youngest is all about Star Wars, he has watched all the movies about 3 times each and he is so excited about the Clone Wars movie that came out today.
It does look really cool, but really should a newly 5 year old have this much fascination with a movie or related products. Will this turn into an obsession or turn into bigger and better things, like an interest in a career choice, robotics or engineering maybe.
Right now both of the boys are playing a Star Wars type game, so lets hope that child play will turn a fascination into a broader interest into bigger and better things that will one day be able to support me in my old age.

Hello, again
I know I have been gone for a while. Our household has gone through a bout of tummy troubles, so much so that we had to cancel Z's birthday party. He was so disappointed, he thought he wasn't going to turn 5 because he didn't have his party. I finally convinced him that whether he has a party or not he will turn five.
When we all got well we went for one last trip to the lake house for some late summer fun, riding jet skis seemed to be the hit this time around. J even tried to get up on skis, he almost got up but then fell to hard and didn't want to try again. Z finally got enough bravery to jump off the diving board. Once he finally jumped off he didn't want to stop, I think he jumped off of that thing a hundred times.

So we now have to get back to the task at hand and get ready for school for me and the boys. I am taking 3 classes this semester in pursuit of my Psychology degree, only 60 more hours to my Bachelors degree, so hopefully by the time I am 40 I will know what I want to be when I grow up.
